To survive in the modern world, an organisation must be flexible and responsive to changing conditions.
Creativity flourishes on the boundary between order and chaos.
Architecture of the organisation
- flexible communications structures
"Our individual, constantly evolving design" - Traditionally, organisations have been shown as pyramids with the perceived power at the pointed end. They have also tended to be rigid structures, held in place until the next organisational change initiative to be driven by top management. The Human Energy Centre believes that, like a successful suspension bridge, the structure of an organisation needs to be fluid and responsive to the apparently chaotic pressures of the external environment. The key elements of the organisation are the highly intelligent and adaptable people within it held together by the flexible connections of communications structures. In the context of clear strategic vision and purpose and in a real quality environment, such a structure has a natural ability to respond effectively and creatively to events.
Among the activities in which The Human Energy Centre typically finds itself involved within this focus area are:
- Establishing flexible communications structures (this is not necessarily about formality, it is about understanding and establishing two-way information energy flows throughout the organisation)
- Creativity through social networks (creativity thrives in the energy fields of constructive social interactions)
- Personnel selection and staff development (if people are in roles that enable them to express their natural individuality, they will be both fulfilled and very effective; but putting the right people in the right place is not easy!)
